BREVARD WARRIORS (11-1) vs. CENTRAL FLORIDA THOROUGHBREDS (12-0) The Southeast Football League 2009 Championship is set and ready to go. With last Saturday’s Brevard Warriors defeat of the Knights of Miami, it finalized the pairing of the League’s championship. Rightfully so, this game pits the League’s two best teams and should be one of this year’s best played championships. Brevard finished the season withthe League’s #1 ranking even though they were once beaten. Central Florida, although undefeated, finished at #2. This game will definitely put that ranking to rest. The two teams met once before in the preseason with Central Florida winning 36-33. BrevardWarriors comes into the game with the League’s best offense. An explosive, high powered attack is centered around all everything RB Jarrell Kelly. Kelly is the catalyst of this impressive ground attack and is Rolls Royce amongst a lot of Subaru’s. Brevards defense demands their respect as well. Being one of the league’s staunches defenses, they are led by LB Tyrone Giscombe . They are giving up less than 82 yards RPG, 200 yards PPG and less than 14 PPG. Key Players to Watch; #1 Jarrell Kelly, #2 Tyrone Giscombe, #6 Anthony Clark, #10 Adam Coufman, #18 Jameel Evans, #19 Jeremy Richter, #39 Dereese Muhammed and the entire offensive line. Central Florida Thoroughbreds have been the premier team in the SEFL since their first year in 2005. Making an appearance in every league championship game since that time and winning two of them (06′ and 07′) they have always been the team to beat. This year seems to be no exception. Central Florida is led on offense by QB Dee Anderson. Central Florida has high flying aerial attack unmatched by most in the league. But you can’t just defend against that, because when you do, their backs will remind you by ripping off a 60 yard touchdown just a fast. The defense is centered around the league’s best LB, Yohance Clark. This all energy tackling machine has consistently lead the league in tackles, and most importantly, also, the most bone jarring hits. Central Florida is the consummate champion and plays that way in games of this magnitude. Key Players to Watch; #1 Greg Dubose, #7 Yohance Clark, #9 Kenshay Williams, #11 Shedrick Burley, #12 Dee Anderson, #13 Johnell Brown, #17 Wayne Williams, #50 Savalas Lee, #56 Tony Lewis, and #75 Ronnie Gillins. RESPECT! The SEFL released their "Jacked Up" version of a Top Ten poll ranking the T-breds at #2 when any blind person can see that we are clearly #1. We run this league! The nerve they have to rank Brevard a 1st year team with 1 loss ahead of us. Can they not see that we're undefeated? Yeah we’ve had forfeits. Its not our fault no-one will play us. We’ve tried everything (besides paying someone) to get someone to play us. How is it we get penalized because a team dropped out and or forfeited? Not to mention that we’ve beat Brevard and last years so called champion. We're tired of all the talking and all the claims. You know where we are. We’ll even come to you! We don’t run….we don’t give excuses. All we want to do is play. Call us cocky…calls us what you want. Our record speaks for itself. WE DEMAND RESPECT…SO GIVE IT TO US OR WE WILL TAKE IT! Take this how you want to…

STILL UNDEFEATED! The T-Breds traveled to Gaffney SC and defeated the Upstate Vikings 14-10. Due to weather conditions the game was full of turnovers and limited offence. It was a great defensive game on both sides. Big shot-out to the Vikings players and organization for a great game and showing us much luv. We look forward to you guys coming to Gainesville.
UPSTATE HERE WE COME! After two weeks of failed attempts to get some valuable playing time the T-Breds finally have someone to beat on. Next up for the T-Breds (5-0) will be the Upstate Vikings (4-0). The Vikings come into the game only averaging 15.2 points per game despite the fact all the teams they have played so far are below .500 on the season. While the T-Breds come into the game averaging a league best 34 points per game. The game will be played in Gaffney South Carolina. Click here for directions. This game promises to be a great one as the trash talking has already begun. The Vikings with their padded 4-0 record have guaranteed a win but have no idea what they have done. Not only have they set themselves up for failure but most of all they set themselves up for a beat down of epic proportion CHAMPION STYLE.

Southeast Football League makes long awaited announcement. After going through the offseason pretty quietly, the Southeast Football League has finally gone public about its business. The SEFL is proud to announce that for the 2009 football season, we will be fielding 17 quality teams with 5 of those teams being located in South Carolina . The SEFL has quietly put together a very impressive and highly competitive league by attracting and seeking some of the better quality teams outside of the state along with keeping the bulk of their in state teams. “When I was voted as this year’s league President, I sat out to make the SEFL a much more dominant player in the minor league football arena, and I figured what better way to start than to live up to our name, the Southeast Football League”, said League President, Anthony Smith. With the state of Florida being over-run with so many different leagues now, the SEFL decided it was time to expand their scope to now include teams in the entire Southeast. There were many other teams (other than the ones that came aboard) indicating interest in becoming apart of what the SEFL is doing but unfortunately, wasn’t able to work out the logistics of making the move this year. But rest assured, the outlook for the 2010 season looks to be even brighter than this upcoming year. “We’re on the verge of some very big things here in the SEFL, and that’s because of the commitment and visions of our owners. We realize that many other Presidents/Commissioners are only focused with seeing there names in press, or as they say, “being the biggest in Florida ”, but that’s not our goal. We are the best in the Southeast United States, bar none”, said Smith. Here is the list of teams that we are proud to say, are members of the Southeast Football League and we send a special appreciation to our newest members; RETURNING MEMBERS NEWEST MEMBERS Savannah Warriors – Savannah, Ga.
